A group of juniors and seniors had the opportunity to visit Southern Illinois University Edwardsville today with Miss Wright. The students took a tour of the campus, learned about scholarships available to undergraduate students, and received valuable information about the application process.




Thanks lunch buddies for spending time with us today at the Grade School.



Deputy Brock Rich and his K-9 partner, Zero, visited the Kindergarten Class at the Grade School today.



Today, Mrs. Rich and Mrs. Roley's class completed a community service project in making 100 gift bags for children in need. Quenton Greenwood led the group in the activity.
Beecher City High School junior, Layne Jones, is working on his Eagle Scout Project. He has a box set up in the high school lobby for Operation Christmas Child. Donations help send boxes of supplies to children in need around the world.

Officer Brock Rich spoke to Mr. Eirhart's health class today about the dangers and consequences of substance abuse and social media.

The Fifth Grade Class performed two plays this morning, "The First Thanksgiving" and "A Thanksgiving Nightmare". Great Job, Fifth Grade!




Lots of turkey activities at the Grade School today. There was grab a feather in PE class and catch a turkey mazes in the First Grade.




Mr. Brown's Leadership Class spent some time today at the Grade School reading with the First Graders. Great teamwork!

8th Grade Girls Regionals hosted by Stewardson-Strasburg.

Mr. Jason was the guest reader in Mrs. Stuckemeyer's class and Miss K's Class created books to share with the First Graders.




The Fifth Graders built catapults today in Social Studies. They learned catapults have been around for a really, really long time. Catapults were for military use.




The weather outside might be frightful, but conditions in the Beecher City High School greenhouse are quite fine for growing vegetables! Mrs. Doedtman and her Plant & Animal Science class have sweet potatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers coming along nicely. The compost bins that Mr. Tarr and students recently built are also being well used.

This is a reminder that CHBC apparel orders supporting the Beecher City senior class are due today.
Junior, Wyatt Doty, and 7th grader, Ethel Stuckemeyer, are the October Beecher City Jr/Sr High School students of the month. Congratulations Wyatt and Ethel!


The CHBC girls basketball team got off to a great start last night by winning both the JV and Varsity games versus South Central! The girls play again on Thursday, November 17, at home against Central A&M. Starting Tuesday, November 22, the girls will begin playing in the CHBC Thanksgiving Tournament. All home games are played at Cowden-Herrick.
