
Mrs. Doedtman's Plant & Animal Science class bagged trees for the Effingham County Soil and Water Conservation District in preparation for Arbor Day.

Congratulations to junior, Marissa Summers, for being named the Beecher City High School March student of the month and 8th grader, Tami Hunley, for being awarded the junior high March Citizenship Award. Keep up the great work girls!



It was a great day for a ball game! The CHBC Bobcats won their home opener with a walk-off double in the 7th inning by senior, Drake Davis. Come out this spring and cheer on the high school baseball, softball, and track & field teams. The junior high track & field season is also underway.

For the Honors Trip, Beecher City Junior/Senior High School students enjoyed a St. Louis Cardinals game.



The library club went to Barnes and Noble in Springfield today. They added 93 books to the school library.


The Fifth Grade Class worked on ways to safely drop their eggs.





Easter Activity at the Grade School





The Preschool Classes had some Easter fun.




Congratulations to the Beecher City Envirothon teams. The teams competed the Land Use Council regional competition hosted at Ballard Nature Center. The LUC team finished 3rd overall in the competition and finished 1st for Effingham County. The FFA team also finished 1st in Effingham County. Three plaques in one day! Great job students and Mrs. Doedtman!




Nurse Laura taught about the heart muscle today. She included ideas for exercise.




Beecher City High School juniors attended the Math and Science Open House at Lakeland College.





The Fifth Graders listened to the First Graders read and play review games.




Eighth grade students participated in the career conference today at Lake Lake College. During the event, students had the opportunity to speak with local professionals about possible career paths.





Lake Shelbyville USACE presented tulip trees to the Fourth Grade Class.


Mrs. Burks and several Beecher City High School students filled Easter eggs with candy for the community Easter egg hunt.


Thank you to everyone that submitted answers to yesterday's trivia question. There were several correct answers, but Carmen Spencer was the first one to get it right. The correct answer was Ms. Carolyn Wendte was the first girls basketball coach and the first Beecher City High School girls basketball team was 1992-1993. Congratulations Carmen and enjoy the Cardinals game!
