The Illinois State Scholars Program recognizes students for their outstanding academic achievements, which include performing in the top one-half of their graduating class and an SAT score at or above the 95th percentile. Staff Spotlight: We would like to introduce you to Mrs. Hicks who teaches Art at the Jr./Sr. High and the Grade School. She has been with the district for five years. Here is some information for you to get to know her. Family: “I have been married to my husband, Robert for almost 5 years. We live in Shumway with our two girls, Emersyn(Emmy) who is 5 and is in pre-k, Lavina (Livvi) who is 3 and our son, Riggin who was born May 12, 2023. .” Mrs. Hick's favorite food is steak, her favorite color is cyan, she enjoys listening to all kinds of music, and her favorite sports team is the St. Louis Cardinals . In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out in the mornings, painting, spending time with her family, crafting, cooking/baking and trying new things. Here is some information for you to get to know her. Family: “I am a mother to two loving and amazing boys, Cooper and Myles. I have been married to my husband Mike for 7 years. We have 1 dog and 2 cats and live right outside of town in Beecher City.” Mrs. Roley’s favorite food is Italian with Mexican a close second, her favorite color is blue, her favorite kind of music is oldies and her favorite sports team is the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals. In her free time, she enjoys watching her oldest son Cooper play travel baseball, along with canning and gardening and spending time at home with my boys. We’re glad to have you on our team!
