
The honors trip students got to watch the Cardinals game today. They are on their way back and should arrive at the high school around 5:35 PM.


The BCHS Envirothon team competed today. They got 1st in Effingham County and 2nd in the council out of 15 teams. Great job!

There was lots of eclipse fun at BCHS today.








Come and support BCHS Drama Club. This year they are performing Murder is in the Heir on April 19th at 7:00 PM. Tickets will be sold at the door for this performance. The second performance on April 20th is at 5:00 PM, and it is a dinner theater. Tickets need to be purchased by April 9th. Please see a cast member, Mrs. Rich, or Mrs. Peterson for tickets.


Congratulations to Layne Jones, who signed with McKendree University to become part of the powerlifting team.



Mrs. Doedtman's and Mr. Tarr's classes are getting ready for the plant sale on April 18th from 8 AM to 8 PM. Come and support all their hard work.








Rhythm sticks in music, sharing a class pet, and a lesson on the solar system at the Grade School





The Beecher City Grade School and Beecher City Jr. Sr. High School plan on taking students out to watch the solar eclipse. The district will provide eclipse glasses, and parent permission forms were sent home today. Please return forms by Friday.


The library club went to Barnes & Noble and added 92 books to the school library.

We had some eggcellent activities at BCHS this week. Spanish club had an Easter egg hunt. Students and staff helped fill eggs for the community Easter egg hunt.

Today, the senior class attended the Effingham County Career Fair and an etiquette luncheon. Thank you, Adrian Nowitzke, for being such a wonderful hostess and for giving the students this wonderful opportunity. Also, thank you to Jeremy Beuning, Matt Kline, and Annette Donaldson for speaking with the students.






Deputy Ritz and Deputy Dale visited BCHS. Students really enjoyed the visit.
